Jordan Young Biography

Jordan Young began his career in the adult industry as a model, and performed in his first adult film in 1995. His mentor and one time roommate, Chi Chi LaRue, played an integral role in his success. While Jordan was performing in big movies like "Idol in the Sky" and "Rescue 69-11," his goal was to write, and with the help of Chi Chi LaRue he became a successful screenwriter. Jordan won the Grabby Award for Best Screenplay for the movie "Echoes" in 2000 and was nominated for the 2003 Grabby Erotic Gay Video Award for Best Screenplay for his work on Falcon Studios' "Deep South: The Big and the Easy." Of course, his excellent writing skills weren't the only thing Jordan won awards for; he was voted Most Cuddly Stud at the 1997 Probe Awards.

Jordan had a thriving career in the adult industry in the 90's and made a name for himself both on and off the screen. But Jordan is a driven man and he had his eye set on a much bigger prize. In a 1997 interview with HX Magazine, Jordan revealed that he planned to move beyond adult films and into mainstream media. "I'd like to 'go legit,'" he said. "Although I don't consider what I'm doing not legit; I don't deny it. I'm comfortable with it. It's a form of media that's out there; it's just not as widely accepted." Recalling his first day on the set of an adult film, Jordan remarked, "All I could think about was that once I step in front of that camera I can't take it back. I can't buy back the film. There was nothing I could do. It was scary, but I knew that I would never be president, so I did it." And while Jordan made quite a name for himself in the porn industry, it never hindered his career in mainstream media.

Jordan Young made the move to mainstream media in 2001 and changed his name to Billy Kemp. He became a casting executive for television shows such as Temptation Island, Elimidate, and Nanny 911. He worked his way up through the ranks and was eventually named Vice-President of Casting and Talent for Fremantle Media North America in 2008. Jordan, now known as Billy, has truly undergone a metamorphosis. He worked his way through the media world, trying his hand at various positions (pun intended!) and finally landing a VP position at a major media outlet. Proud of his work and where he's come from, Billy never denies his work in the adult industry. Who says dreams can't come true?
